The former, cruel king of Drum Island, Wapol, returns to the coast with his Bliking Pirates . He had previously fled the island when the Blackbeard Pirates attacked, but now returns to reclaim his throne.
While carrying Nami up the mountain toward the castle, Luffy and Sanji are attacked by Lapahns —aggressive, giant "psycho rabbits". The Lapahns trigger a massive avalanche that buries the village and catches Luffy and Sanji in its path.
The mysterious Dr. Kureha (often called a "witch" by locals) is seen traveling across the island. Dalton and the others race to find her before she leaves the next village.
