Carnage Park

Carnage Park Site

(2016) is a gritty, sun-bleached horror-thriller that functions as a high-octane homage to 1970s grindhouse cinema and the works of directors like Sam Peckinpah and Quentin Tarantino. Directed by Mickey Keating, the film is known for its intense atmosphere, nonlinear narrative, and a stark, monochromatic aesthetic that captures the brutal heat of the California desert. Plot Overview

Set in 1978, the story begins as a bank robbery gone wrong. Two criminals, "Scorpion Joe" and his partner Lenny, flee into the desert with a hostage named Vivian (played by Ashley Bell). Their getaway takes a lethal turn when they inadvertently stumble onto a massive, private stretch of land owned by Wyatt Moss (Pat Healy), a deranged Vietnam veteran and psychotic sniper. Moss has turned his property into a literal "carnage park," where he hunts trespassers for sport. Key Characters & Performances Carnage Park - Sundance Film Review - SLUG Magazine Carnage Park
